DESCRIPTION:Formed in the Chicago area in 1975\, The Special Consensus is a four-person acoustic bluegrass band with a repertoire that features traditional bluegrass standards\, original compositions\, and songs from other musical genres performed in the bluegrass format. The band has released 16 recordings and has appeared on numerous National Public Radio programs and cable television shows. Banjoist Greg Cahill\, leads a group of talented musicians comprising one of the most engaging bands in Bluegrass today. Doors open at 6pm\, concert starts at 7pm. The series at the park's Visitor Center is sponsored by the Friends of Frying Pan Park and Vienna hardwoods in cooperation with the Fairfax County Park Authority. Food and drinks available for purchase. Tickets are $15 in advance\, $18 at the door.\n\n\n\nThis Sunday performance series\, held at Frying Pan Farm Park's Visitor Center\, showcases some of the best of local and regional Bluegrass musicians. Food and beverages are available. Doors open at 6pm\, concert starts at 7pm. Tickets will be available for pick-up at the door the night of the show. All sales are final.
