SUMMARY:Create Your Sacred Tree
DESCRIPTION:Every person has a sacred tree\, your spiritual connection to Earth and the Tree of Life. This is a unique tree that twines with your spirit. What does your tree look like? Is it a graceful willow? A mighty oak? A sweet maple? Does it have a door? Where does your tree exist\, on a mountain\, near a boggy marsh... or in a tropical jungle? Is it dappled with bright sunlight or in a quiet and mossy terrain? Do animals live in your tree or the land around it?\n\n\n\nVisiting your sacred tree through meditation is practiced in many tribal and ancient cultures around the world. It is a refreshing and revitalizing experience. \n\nThis is a coordinated workshop led by both Maryam and Bonita. First Bonita will lead you on a guided spirit journey that will culminate at your sacred tree. We will become one with our trees and incorporate our energy with earth\, tree and all nature. Then Maryam will help us to artistically translate our meditative visions into our own personal Trees. You do not need skill or talent to enjoy this workshop\, just a desire to learn and have fun. \n\nFrom Maryam: As a registered Art Therapist I confess that I still catch myself looking at tree drawings with a slightly different perspective bordering on the clinical. This may be due to the fact that the tree drawing is one the most useful techniques in gathering information about a client without being confrontational. All that being said\, the artist is still the person who can best describe his/her depiction. Having entered the energy healing profession (Reconnective Healing- private sessions appointments at Bonita Woods Wellness Institute) and becoming a spiritual seeker looking at artwork now presents another perspective. \n\n\n\nIn this practical workshop we shall explore our own personal sacred tree and endeavor to find out what it may reveal about our own personal journey. \n\nArt materials will be provided however\, feel free to bring in the medium of your choice. Event starts at 7 PM. Doors open at 6:30.
