SUMMARY:July Networking Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Chamber's Networking Luncheon\n\nTuesday\, July 15\, 11:30-1:15 \n\nThe Italian Caf \n\n\n\n"How Come No One Knows About Us?"\n\n\n\nFew things are as frustrating for small- to mid-sized businesses as feeling nearly invisible in a market where there is strong competition and a huge clutter of information. Learning how to use public relations tools -- even on a small budget -- can help you cut through the clutter and reach your prospective clients and other important audiences so they'll sit up and take notice. \n\n \n\nJoin us as Robb Deigh\, principal of RDC Public Relations\, LLC\, conducts a highly practical and fun PR presentation that will give you dozens of ideas you can put into practice immediately to win attention even if you have no previous PR experience. Deigh\, a former national news reporter\, book author and speaker who has a great track record for helping clients win attention\, will show you how to 1) create and use the right messages\, 2) tell your story so it sticks\, 3) stay in touch with ALL of your contacts\, 4) get written about in the press and 4) leverage that attention to win business. All of that\, using just a few minutes a week. \n\n \n\nAbout the Presenter: Robb Deigh is a communication professional with more than 30 years of experience in public relations and journalism. He has helped hundreds of organizations -- from startups to Fortune 500 companies -- increase their visibility and become successful by creating strong and positive relationships with the press and other audiences. Before starting his own PR firm 14 years ago\, Robb was the communication director for two divisions of America Online and the PBS television network\, where -- for seven years -- he was also the network's chief national spokesperson and director of press relations. He was a senior vice president at a DC public relations firm as well. Robb spent more than a dozen years in print and broadcast journalism. Before joining PBS\, he was an associate editor of U.S. News & World Report magazine and reporter for other magazines and newspapers. He is also a U.S. Army veteran and served as a military reporter and photographer in Central America.
