SUMMARY:Marge Holtz of Mimosa Toast Artist Reception at Stifel & Capra
DESCRIPTION:Marge Holtz of Mimosa Toast\n\nArtist Reception at Stifel & Capra\n\nSaturday\, May 16th \n\n11am to 1pm\n\n\n\nMarge's art work is as colorful as her personality! Kick off Marge's Featured Artist show with a tasting of our newest bubbly. Bring your high spirits and your friends and enjoy perusing Marge's delightful color sense. From quilts\, to acrylics to mixed media to furniture painting she does it all!\n\n \n\n "I love color bright\, bold\, daring color. Color is like a magnet to me\; it draws me in and demands to be used. It is enticing\; it is inspiring. Color makes me happy. \n\nI am principally a fiber artist an art quilter who also paints and makes things. I began taking art lessons as a child and have sporadically continued throughout my life dabbling in a variety of media and craft while working for the federal government and teaching at universities. Retirement means I can now do what I want to\, when I want to\, mostly. \n\nI recently began painting again and work mostly in acrylics and in mixed media. I also have great fun painting discarded furniture and making funky\, functional birdhouses. I love making things\, and I try to create something every day. Some days\, that is just breakfast\, other days it is a painting\, even other days it's a giant painted table from a curbside find."
