DESCRIPTION:Forty-nine pieces from twenty-nine artists will be on display as "Music to My Eyes" heralds the 2024 Falls Church Arts exhibit season with artworks inspired by music. \n\n\n\nThe artists used a wide array of media in their artwork that included ink on paper\; hand-carved stone sculpture\; acrylic and aerosol paint\; giclee\; photography\; textiles\, silkscreen\; mixed media\; and linoleum cut prints. Some of the artwork features three dimensional components such as vintage flute parts\, metal chain\, a custom wood hanging rod\, puzzle pieces\, and guitar strings.\n\n\n\n"Music to My Eyes" will be on view through February 25\, 2024\, at the Falls Church Arts gallery\, located at 700-B West Broad Street\, Falls Church\, Virginia. The gallery is open Tuesday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. Masks are optional and guests are asked to postpone their visit if they are not well.\n\nArtworks can viewed online at www.fallschurcharts.org. All pieces can be purchased at the gallery or on the website.\n\n\n\nThe Juror's Choice and People's Choice Awards are made possible by a donation from Foxes Music Company\, 416 S. Washington St.\, Falls Church\, VA 22046. The winner of the People's Choice Awards will be announced on February 3.
