Foster's Photography Collection Auction. Dr. Foster was a renowned doctor\, archeologist\, adventurer\, and an avid collector. Beginning in 1961\, he was employed as the personal physician to the last king of Yemen\, Al Imam Ahmad bin Yahya Hamididdin. Most of the photographs featured in the auction are from his travels to India and Papua New Guinea. Foster visited Irian Jaya\, Papua New Guinea in the 1960s and 1970s to record the tribal music of the Papuan People. His photographs from his trips to India were published in his book "Festival Of Lights: Photographs Of India At Night" (2004).
