DESCRIPTION:WHAT: The Falls Church Education Foundation's 13th Annual Run (or walk! or jog! or stroll!) for the Schools \n\n\n\nWHEN: Sunday\, September 17th - 7:45am warmups\; 8:00am race. \n\n\n\nWHERE: 300 Park Avenue (between City Hall entrance and the MRS Library)\n\n\n\nMAY WE BRING MORE RUNNERS/WALKERS? Please do .. register online before noon Thursday\, September 14th at fcedf.org/runfortheschools or come to packet pick up or even at the race day Sunday. \n\n\n\nRACE PACKET PICK-UP: Pick up your tshirt\, race bib and swag bag (EVERY registrant will receive great goodies!):\n\n\n\n* Friday 5 -8pm at Road Runner Sports 1120 W. Broad Street. BONUS: You'll get $10 from Road Runner Sports to spend on anything you want in the store! Or join the VIP Family and save 25% on everything! Don't miss out on this exclusive gift for race participants only when you join the Packet Pickup Party! Restrictions apply. See store for details.\n\n \n\n* Saturday 10am- 4pm at the Taste of Falls Church in booth #117 near Cherry Hill Park.\n\n\n\nRACE PARKING: available in the parking garage for Kaiser Permanente at 201 N. Washington St.\, Falls Church at the corner of N. Washington St. and Park Ave. Park on level 2 or above. Please note the race course will be closed so you will not be able to park on the race streets.\n\n\n\nWARM UPS: begin at 7:45 AM. Please allow for enough time to park and to get to the starting line on time. The starting line is in the 300 block of Park Ave.\, between the City Hall and the Library.\n\n\n\nRACE: The 5K will begin promptly at 8:00 AM\; if you intend to run 7 minute miles or below\, please line up at the front. The 1 Mile Run/Walk will begin at 8:05 AM and we ask that you line up at the back of the running pack. The one mile course cuts through Cherry Hill Park from Great Falls. Check out the course map.\n\n\n\nPOST-RACE: Water and fruit will be available at the end of the race.\n\n\n\nKids can enjoy the moonbounce and face painting at the conclusion of the race and all can join in massages provided by Body Dynamics and temporary hair coloring and braiding from SuperCuts.\n\n\n\nStick around for the Awards ceremony ... fastest runners overall\, 8 age categories\, largest team\, fastest team and first to finish 5K with a stroller.
