SUMMARY:Washington Sinfonietta Concert: Monumental Mozart
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, April 29\, the Washington Sinfonietta performs a trio of monumental works by the composer considered by many to be the greatest in musical history Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Three of the Sinfonietta's longtime favorite guest artists join the orchestra for the performance. \n\n \n\nThe program opens with the stately overture to one of Mozart's final compositions\, the opera La Clemenza di Tito. To close the evening\, internationally lauded soloist Rachel Franklin takes the stage for a performance of the majestic\, brilliant Piano Concerto No. 25 in C Major. A reception with free refreshments and an opportunity to meet the performers will follow the concert. \n\n \n\nTickets for the performance are available in advance at a discount online ($15 general admission\; seniors and students $10) at www.washingtonsinfonietta.org\, or full price at the door ($20 general admission\; seniors and students $15). Children 18 and under are always admitted at no charge.
