DESCRIPTION:Monday\, December 31\, 2012 ~ 7 p.m. to Midnight Intersection of Broad Street (Rt. 7) and Washington Street (Rt. 29)\n		\n		\n			\n				 \n		\n		\n			\n				Ring in 2013 in the City of Falls Church \n\n				\n\n				Ring in the New Year with FREE family-friendly festivities at the 15th Annual Watch Night New Year's Eve Celebration in the City of Falls Church. With events and entertainment both indoors and outdoors\, The Little City's celebration is unique because it is free and open-to-the-public.\n\n				\n\n				The City of Falls Church government\, businesses\, organizations\, churches\, civic groups and many\, many committed volunteers come together to throw what The Washington Post Express called "the coolest New Year's Eve event" for families in the Metro area.\n\n				\n\n				\n\n				Big Night in the Little City\n\n				\n\n				Watch Night is unique not only for featuring our amazing local talent\, but also because of the enormous volunteer network that makes it possible. Highlights from 2011 included:\n				\n					\n						Free Shuttle Bus every 30 minutes from East Falls Church Metro Station to all venues\, running from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.\n					\n						Live bands\n					\n						Indoor and Outdoor venues\n					\n						20 piece Orchestra\, Swing Dancing\n					\n						Karaoke Stage\n					\n						DJ Dance\n					\n						Caricaturist\n					\n						Face Painters\n					\n						Balloon Artists\n					\n						Free Popcorn\, Hot Chocolate\, and Soup while supplies last\n					\n						Velcro Wall\n					\n						Moonbounce for small children\n					\n						Firepits for warming\n					\n						Walking Watch Night Menus\n					\n						Free balloons for hats and countdown wave\n					\n						Free noisemakers for countdown\n				\n				\n\n				Main Stage\n\n				\n\n				\n					\n						\n							\n								7:30 - 8:30 p.m.\n							\n								Hello Headlights\n\n								JEB Stuart High School Students and Alums\; Pop-Punk-Rock\n						\n						\n							\n								8:45 - 9:45 p.m.\n							\n								Lu and the Blues Crew\n\n								George Mason High School Students and Alums\; Jazz and Blues\n						\n						\n							\n								10 p.m. - Midnight\n							\n								Soul Gravity\n\n								Covers and originals to "get the floor shakin'!"\n						\n						\n							\n								More music venues throughout the City will showcase Judo Chop (DC's Premiere 80s Rock Band)\, Cowboy Haye (1850s instruments)\, Andrew Acosta and His Old Time String Band\, and Northern Lights Big Band Orchestra.\n						\n					\n				\n				\n\n				\n\n				The Countdown\n\n				\n\n				No Watch Night would be complete without the traditional New Year's countdown spectacular\, including the lowering of the historic star that first lit the Falls Church sky in 1948 (the year Falls Church became an independent city).\n\n				\n\n				\n\n				Thank You\, Sponsors\n\n				\n\n				Watch Night is a collaborative effort by a number of civic organizations and businesses.
