The opening event of 2020 is our 4th annual march and commemorative program honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It takes place on Monday, January 20 and you are cordially invited to join us.
Participants will meet at 9:00 AM at the Tinner Hill Civil Rights Monument, Lee Highway (South Washington St.) & Tinner Hill Road. The march, at 10:00 AM, will proceed down Lee Highway to Falls Church Episcopal, 115 East Fairfax St. (Entrance: 166 East Broad St), Falls Church, VA 22046.
Area service organizations will be at the church providing information about volunteer opportunities in our local communities.
A commemoration program with a keynote speech by Joan Mulholland, a Freedom Rider and civil rights activist, will take place in the church at 12 Noon.
Free & open to the public, this event will also include children activities.
