The Obama Portraits Tour with museum stops in Chicago, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Houston celebrates two American icons. This summer, you will be able to view the portraits in their permanent home at the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery with fresh eyes. You will discover why these works in particular are standouts in the tradition of presidential portraits. You will learn about the unique approaches to the human figure by artists Amy Sherald and Kehinde Wiley. We will traverse a variety of images by these artists and discover what makes them extraordinary.
You will receive a Zoom link by email prior to the presentation.
