Description
Circa Blue is all about bluegrass, not traditional yet not contemporary. They perform original material and adapt other songs using their own arrangements. Tight vocal harmonies, clean instrumentation and creative arrangements keep audiences tapping their toes or dancing in their seats. Band founder Steve Harris plays guitar and sings lead and harmony vocals. Garrett Wren on mandolin, Ashley Stewart on bass, Matt Hickman on banjo and Malia Furtado on fiddle complete the group. Doors open at 6pm and showtime is at 7pm. The series at the park's Visitor Center is sponsored by the Friends of Frying Pan Park, Vienna Hardwoods and Eastman Guitars and Mandolins in cooperation with the Fairfax County Park Authority. Food and drinks, including beer and wine, are available for purchase. Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door.
