Description
In the world of bluegrass music, the high lonesome sound never goes out of style. The Patuxent Partners have been performing since 1975. Bandleader Tom Mindte delivers his powerful voice and authoritative mandolin chops. Lead singer/rhythm guitarist Bryan Deere, banjo-picker John Brunschwyler, fiddler Jack Leiderman and bassist Victoria McMullen round out this accomplished band. Doors open at 6pm and showtime is 7pm. The series at the park's Visitor Center is sponsored by the Friends of Frying Pan Park, Vienna Hardwoods and Eastman Guitars and Mandolins in cooperation with the Fairfax County Park Authority. Food and drinks, including beer and wine, are available for purchase. Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door.
