Description
Sandy Bainum will be singing songs from her wonderful new CD, and new show entitled It Might Be Fun. The album is an exciting departure for Sandy, a CD featuring all original songs by prolific author, composer, director and producer Bruce Kimmel. A special concert event, to launch the album, will feature tunes from the CD including the catchy title song; the rueful “Three Acts,” the funny “Who Do I Have to Blank to Get Out of This Show?” and “Two Roads,” a brand new composition that is receiving its premiere recording, written by Kimmel with the brilliant Richard M. Sherman of The Sherman Brothers. For this album Sandy takes you on a dramatic journey that runs the gamut of emotion. The album was recorded in Los Angeles at the legendary Capitol Studios Studio A with a phenomenal 35-piece orchestra. It was arranged, orchestrated and conducted by award-winning musical director Lanny Meyers and produced by Grammy-nominated producer Bruce Kimmel.
It Might Be Fun has already garnered glowing reviews including: “She can rouse you up to great musical heights; the next minute she can break your heart..” (Paul Richards, WHLI Program Director); “Bainum’s luscious voice caresses the lyric of ballads.. Brings out every ounce of melancholy..”. (Rob Stevens, Grace Notes); and “Definitely plenty of spunky fun... Strong in pulse and bouncy pop sensibility, the selections are spirited and well-crafted.” (Rob Lester, Talkin’ Broadway).?
