Lampworked Glass Beads Exhibit at Beadazzled

Bead Appreciation Friday August 1st from 4-7pm featuring Lampworked Glass Beads Joyce Diamanti, bead researcher and writer, and long-time bead lover, will share with you a glorious array of lampworked glass beads from her and her family's collection. Come and marvel at these miniature masterpieces and discover how they were made: by manipulating glass tubes, rods, and stringers over an open flame. The exhibit will consist mainly of antique Venetian beads with a sampling of contemporary American beads to whet your appetite for the upcoming trunk show of US beadmakers, who will demonstrate their craft at Beadazzled.
