Cask conditioned proper ales take center stage as Mad Fox Brewing Company’s 4th annual Cask Ale Festival returns to the market square from Noon until 6pm on Saturday, November 7. The free outdoor festival held in front of the Falls Church brewpub (444 W. Broad St) offers two ticket packets ($25 for one tasting glass and six drink/food, and $50 for two glasses and 10 tickets). Enjoy cask beers such as Mad Fox’s Head Cracker, Hardly Ordinary, Defender APA, and The Feasting Horn IPA plus multiple, hard-to-find selections from 3 Stars Brewing, Adroit Theory Brewing, Atlas Brewing, DC Brau, Fair Winds Brewing, Oliver Breweries, Union Craft Brewing and other top regional breweries. Listen to live music from The Justin Trawick Band starting at 1pm. The festival food menu features pork brisket, nachos, a chili bar and kid’s hot dogs. New for 2015, $50 VIP tickets provides pre-public early admission at 11am with first tasting of all casks including exclusive tasting of Mad Fox’s awarding-winning Crazy Ivan Russian Imperial Stout (2015 Great British Beer Festival – 2nd Place Michael Jackson Award), complimentary food, a Mad Fox tasting glass and 10 drink tickets.
