A discussion about the Virginia ballot question to amend the constitution to create a redistricting commission will be presented on Thursday, October 1 at 12:30 p.m. by the Northern Virginia Community College Annandale Campus Lyceum Committee as part of its Fall 2020 Semester Lunch and Learn Justice and Equity Series via Zoom.
Registration is required in advance for this presentation and registration information can be found on the Lyceum Committee blog HERE. A confirmation e-mail will then be sent containing the Zoom link to join the presentation.
Entitled “Gerrymandering and Equity: 'Yes' or 'No' on Virginia’s Redistricting Amendment,” Brian Cannon from Fair Maps VA will present the case for voting “Yes” on 2020 Virginia Constitutional Amendment #1 and Trevor Southerland from Fair Districts VA will present the case for the “No” vote.
The Lyceum virtual Lunch and Learn Justice and Equity Series presentations via Zoom are open to anyone else who wishes to register for any of them. There are also two Lyceum presentations in November.
