May 3, 2014 will be an exciting day for Brother’s Brother Foundation (BBF) and a wonderful opportunity for you to support a world-renowned charity. It is the date of this “over 55 year old” agency’s first-ever fundraising gala. I invite you to sponsor this event to support our passion to Connect People’s Resources with People’s Needs and to celebrate almost six decades of humanitarian service to a needy world.
Our theme is Operation Brother’s Brother. A 1968 book with this title tells the story of Dr. Robert Hingson’s zeal to eradicate disease and suffering and how that zeal evolved into a foundation known for its robust ability to move tons of medical and educational supplies to those who need it most. We will commemorate this story and envision BBF’s future at this event.
Our sponsorship levels from “Promoter” to “Transformer” observe BBF’s founding, tell the story of our expanding global reach and anticipate the transformative power of humanitarian medical supplies in underdeveloped global areas. This history and this growth are all thanks to many supporters over the years.
Although we are headquartered in Pittsburgh, our gala location, the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, VA, highlights our new National Capital Area Supply Program, our new warehouse in Fairfax, VA, and all of our new suppliers and partners in the DC Metro area.
Forbes Magazine highlighted BBF as one of five all-star charities in its November 2012 listing of the top 100 U.S. charities, with a 100% rating for fundraising efficiency and charitable commitment. BBF was listed as the top development/distribution charity by Consumer Digest in 2012. The Better Business Bureau continues to give BBF its “Wise Giving Alliance Standards” seal of approval.
Will you help Brother’s Brother Foundation accomplish its goals moving into the future? Please consider becoming a sponsor for BBF’s first gala or consider buying a ticket. We ask you to help this very important mission continue and flourish! Call Ruth Anderson with any questions.
