Description
We all know that West Side Story is based on Romeo and Juliet, but did you know about The Lion King, or All Shook Up?
Musicals featuring works from Cole Porter and Stephen Sondheim all the way to Duke Ellington, Elton John and Elvis Presley have used Shakespeare as their inspiration. Prepare for a wonderful night of music featuring some of the DC area’s favorite artists including: Katie McManus, Stephanie Waters, Sam Edgerly,Daphne Epps and Helen Hayes Award winner Stephen Gregory Smith accompanied by Alvin Smithson. Also featuring songs from West Side Story, Two Gentlemen of Verona, All Shook Up, The Lion King, Play On!, The Boys From Syracuse and Kiss Me Kate.
