Argia's Italian Restaurant will host a proceeds night in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Student of the Year Campaign. 15% of all proceeds will benefit Team Kings for a Cure, which seeks to raise $15,000 for blood cancer research in six weeks.
The Student of the Year Campaign is a fundraising campaign held among high school studets in the Washington, DC metro area. Students and their teams raise funds over a six week period with the goal of being crowned "Student of the Year" for their efforts. Argia's is supporting Team Kings for a Cure's candidate, Francesca King. Her younger brother was treated for Tcell acute lumphoblastic leukemia from 2009-2012, and she credits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society with supporting her entire family during the long treatment.
