Position Summary
As our Lead Dental Assistant, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring exceptional clinical care, efficient daily operations, and a seamless patient experience. You'll work closely with Dr. Anita Kianimanesh to maintain the highest standards of quality, organization, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Chairside assist for restorative, cosmetic, and comprehensive dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain impeccable infection control standards
- Take high-quality digital radiographs and intraoral photographs
- Fabricate provisional restorations and perform expanded functions (where permitted)
- Assist with crown, bridge, implant restorations, Invisalign, and cosmetic procedures
- Educate patients before and after treatment
Leadership
- Ensure clinical protocols are consistently followed
- Monitor treatment room organization and instrument flow
- Help maintain a positive, team-oriented culture
- Coordinate efficiently with the front office and hygiene team
Inventory & Equipment
- Manage inventory and ordering of clinical supplies
- Monitor expiration dates and stock levels
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs when necessary
- Follow procedures to minimize waste and improve efficiency
Patient Experience
- Welcome patients warmly and help them feel comfortable
- Anticipate the doctor's needs during procedures
- Deliver an exceptional, concierge-level experience
- Build long-term relationships with patients
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 5 years of dental assisting experience
- Current Virginia Dental Assisting credentials (as applicable)
- Current CPR certification
- Experience with digital radiography
- Strong knowledge of infection control and OSHA protocols
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
Preferred
- Experience with cosmetic dentistry
- Experience with Invisalign
- Experience assisting with implant procedures
- Eaglesoft experience
- Expanded Functions certification (if applicable)
- Inventory management experience
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
