Boxwood Estate Wine Dinner
at Open Kitchen by Executive Chef Christopher Carey
Tuesday September 24, 2012
Reception 6:30 pm • Chef’s Tasting Dinner 7:15pm
The Boxwood Estate Winery, set in the rolling hills of Middleburg, Virginia is the fulfillment of a long-held dream by proprietor John Kent Cooke, a former owner and president of the NFL Washington Redskins. An admirer and collector of French wines, particularly great Bordeaux, Cooke and his team at Boxwood are committed to making premium red wines in the Bordeaux tradition, but with their own, distinct Virginia expression. Boxwood Estate’s 19 acre sustainable vineyard blankets the slopes of Middleburg’s historic farmland on its highest elevation. Every vine and grape is treated with tenderness and respect, producing elegant wines with depth, complexity and finesse. Join Executive Vice President, Rachel Martin, for an evening as she introduces us to the distinct wines of Boxwood Estate Winery.
