Jared Soares, Virginia Dream’s Head Photographer, was awarded Second Prize in the National Portrait Gallery’s 2025 Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition. His work depicts the portrait of a man who was misidentified by the Maryland Transit Administration’s facial recognition software for a crime he did not commit.
