Repair Day Proclamation

The Learning Quest proposed and the City of Falls Church agreed to issue a declaration celebrating Repair Day on October 17.

The City has a longstanding legacy of repair and creative alternatives to disposal repair, and businesses have embraced a culture of reuse, sharing, and repair, including The Toy Nest, Bedo's Leaderworks and the legacy of Mr. Brown's hardware.

A culture of repair is ultimately about more than fixing objects: it is about recognizing the value in what we have, relying on one another's knowsledge and skills, reducing waste and strengthening the social fabric that allows a community to thrive.
