VIRGINIA DREAM STILL UNDEFEATED AFTER 4 MATCHES
Falls Church, VA – Virginia Dream FC remains undefeated 4 matches into the season. The Dream recovered from being down 3-0 to earn a tie and keep their undefeated record unblemished. The team struggled for control of the game and Los Toros took advantage of a mistake off of a long throw-in, scoring just 12 minutes into the match. They added 2 more goals 8 minutes into the second half to make the score 3-0. The comeback started when Dream captain, Harri Hawkins, netted the first goal in the 58th minute off of a corner kick. Diarra Zoumana, co-leader in the UPSL golden boot race, added another goal to his total in the 71st minute and then another in the 76th minute to tie the score at 3-3. A questionable second yellow card resulted in a red card for Dream player Fela Osifelu in the 77th minute and put the team down a man for the remainder of the match. However, Virginia Dream kept their attacking momentum going and had several more opportunities to score but could not bring home the victory. The game ended in a 3-3 tie and the Dream stayed undefeated.
The next home match at The Cloud, aka Meridian High School Stadium is Sunday, May 10 versus Doradus. Kickoff is 8pm. For updates and more information, visit: https://www.instagram.com/virginiadreamfcVirginia Dream FC
