Washington Commanders Visit Easterseals

Major Tuddy, members of Command Force, and Washington Commanders alum Ken Harvey were among those who visited the Easterseals Child Development Center in Falls Church recently to promote reading and physical fitness.

Preschoolers at the Center enjoyed hearing two stories, including from Harvey, who read his book, Come Find Me. In addition, US Marine Corps Captain Riley Tejcek, who has been honored by the Commanders and is currently competing to be a member of the 2026 Winter Olympic USA bobsled team, read her children’s book, If You Can Dream It, Be It.

The kids then had fun with Commanders mascot Major Tuddy and two members of the team's entertainment squad, Command Force, who led the children in exercises. Each child took home a mini football and helmet, along with one of the books.

Easterseals DC MD VA is grateful to the Washington Commanders for spending time at our Falls Church Center to promote learning and fitness. Read more about the Center on our website: https://www.easterseals.com/DCMDVA/programs-and-services/childrens-services/child-development-center-of.html
